mi-pad is an award-winning, smart hotel in the centre of Queenstown on the shores of world-renowned Lake Wakatipu.
Seveno designed and developed a mobile experience that connects the guest to the hotel and the surrounding spaces. To deliver this, we created a unified cloud integration that enables the communication between the guest and the physical systems installed both on prem and in additional cloud offerings.
Guests can book, check in from anywhere, generate a digital room key, grab a locker with digital access only and control their room from the top of ski field or the comfort of their room - adjust the aircon or set mood lighting. Interact with the hotel staff and easily request addtional pillows and other such items with a couple of taps.
The outcome - mia, a fully realised digital experience for guests.

Feature Highlights
Frictionless
Key driver of the mi-pad experience was to deliver a fully digital experience without any of the typical friction you encounter at a hotel - espeacially around the check in and out process.
Self check in
MIA allows guests and potential guests to book and then manage a self check in, so no need to queue or delay the holiday.
Digital Keys
Through the integration with ASSA Abloy, on check in guests are allocated a digital key to access their room by simply tapping their phone on the door lock - guests can create and allocate keys to other occupants as well.
Room Control
To complete the digital experience we added the ability to manage the room from the comfort of your bed or from the ski field. Set the temperature so it's cosy or cool when you get back from a days adventure and set the mood with lighting - any color you like. You can even set the do not disturb from your phone.
Storage
Need additional storage space for ski's or a place to leave your bags after check out - our first of a kind integraion to the Releezeme locker platform lets users simply grab a locker through the app, digital access from your phone let's you safely manage your gear.
Concierge
Message or chat with staff at the front desk or request regularily used items from the short cut options, including make up my room.
